A chat with Jotie

What made you want a career in finance?

I have always been interested in finance since I was very young. I was never interested in the medical field or law but I always wanted to help people learn and become financially savvy about their money and investments.

What do you like best about being a part of SFP family?

What I like best about SFP family is that everyone is a dynamic group of fun, energetic individuals that are genuinely passionate about helping their clients achieve their financial goals.

On a professional level, what are your biggest accomplishments?

My biggest accomplishment so far has been my pursuit of education while juggling a full-time work schedule. I believe furthering my education while gaining invaluable experience in this industry will allow me to help contribute to our clients’ financial successes in the long run.

What do you love to do outside of work?

I am an avid sports fan and enjoy staying active outside of work. I love playing sports and love hitting the bike trails whenever the weather permits.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

I love helping people and I try to volunteer as much as possible.  I have a soft spot for animals and I love getting involved in organizations that support them.

What is your most memorable travel experience?

My most memorial travel experience has been traveling back to my birth country of Ethiopia. It was truly rewarding to go back and see my relatives and learn about my heritage. It left me with a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity I have to be in this country.
